TEAM USA DOMINATES PAN AMERICAN WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP

For the first time in history, the United States won a gold medal in every wrestling category at the Pan American Championship. This spectacular milestone shows Team USA’s supremacy in the sport and sets the stage for an incredible tournament during the Lima 2019 Panam Games.

Simply viewing the names on the roster that the United States brought to Buenos Aires for the Pan American Wrestling Championship was enough to know that Team USA came to Argentina to win it all.

Olympic Champions Kyle Snyder and Jordan Burroughs, and 2018 World Champion David Taylor were some of the top athletes at the event, but they were also supported by very competitive teammates.

From the very first match, the talent of the American team was on full display. Their opponents fell one by one, and their supremacy in the finals proved once more they are one of the best wrestling countries in the world.

The final matches seemed routine for the athletes from Team USA. Their opponents often did not score a single point, and incredible performances by David Taylor and two-time World Champion and Rio 2016 Olympic Champion Kyle Snyder had the audience in awe.

Now, America’s best wrestlers and their competitors will prepare for their next challenge: the Lima 2019 Pan American Games this July and August. Americas’ most important multisport event will prepare wrestlers from 41 nations to compete in the World Wrestling Championship that will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan in September.
