Our Vision

We are the heart of the Olympic Movement across the Americas.

Our Mission

Panam Sports fuels the development of sport and supports the work of our 41 member nations to inspire the next generation of athletes in our continent.

We work closely with all members of the sport community including:

- National Olympic Committees (NOCs),
- International Sport Federations (IFs),
- Pan American Sport Confederations,
- The athletes and the Organizing Committees for all regional Games,

ensuring the success and celebration of our flagship event, the Pan American Games.

Team

Meet our Panam Sports team. We are a team of passionate and engaged people from diverse backgrounds committed to building a better world through sport.

Executive Committee

The Panam Sports Executive Committee is responsible for taking major decisions for the organization that will enable the President, Secretary General and team to execute the overall vision.

Commissions

Panam Sports Commissions bring together members of our NOCs and professional subject matter experts to develop best practices, advise the Executive Committee and provide valuable insight on all areas of the organization.

Constitution

The Pan American Sports Organization was established on August 8th, 1948 and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the Continental Association of the National Olympic Committees of the Americas.

It is juridically constituted, integrated and registered as a non-profit Civil Association.

The Voting Members of the Pan American Sports Organization are the National Olympic Committees of the Americas recognized by the International Olympic Committee.

Its principal objects are the celebration and conduct of the Pan American Games and the promotion, development and protection of sport, as well as the Olympic Movement, in the Americas through its member National Olympic Committees.

Sports Confederations

Panam Sports works in coordination with the Association of Pan American Sport Confederations (ACODEPA) to ensure a successful delivery of the Pan American Games and all regional sports competitions.
