The Brazilian excelled in the 400m hurdles, achieving a championship record and reaching the lead of the season. For his part, the American sprinter obtained the best mark of the year in the 200m dash with 19.67 seconds.

A new and exciting date of the Diamond League took place this Friday in Doha, Qatar, in a competition that was entirely broadcast live on the Panam Sports Channel.

Once again, the athletes from America shone in their performance, in this event where several events debuted this season.

Such is the case of the 400 meters hurdles where Olympic medalist Alison Dos Santos (Brazil) shows that she is up for great things in 2024.

After overcoming an injury, the Brazilian reappeared on the Diamond League court to surprise everyone. In a spectacular race, she won not only the gold medal, but also a new competition record of 46.86s and climbed to first place in this season’s ranking.

Triumph for Dos Santos, who is determined to win gold in Paris 2024 and achieve the world record in the specialty.

Another test in which she had an outstanding performance was the 200 meter dash. There Team USA sprinter Kenneth Bednarek won a gold medal, his personal best 19.67 and reached the top of the season ranking, becoming the new leader of the double hectometer.

Another of the expected returns was that of Team Panam Sports Ambassador, Anderson Peters from Granada, who in the javelin throw obtained the bronze medal with a very good 86.62 meters, his best record so far this season.

The double world champion is preparing with everything for Paris 2024, where he wants to achieve the only medal he has yet to obtain in his outstanding career.

The next date of the Diamond League will be played on May 19 in Rabat Morocco, and will again be broadcast on the Pan American Sports Channel, Panam Sports Channel.
