The silver medal went to Mexican Mairyn Hernández Lizárraga, who totaled 236 kg (106 in the snatch and 130 in the clean and jerk), delivering a solid performance that positions her as one of her country’s most promising weightlifters. Hernández expressed her joy after the competition:

“I’m very happy with the result. I’ve been preparing for these competitions for a long time, and for it to end this way is a great achievement for me. I dedicate this medal to my entire family, my boyfriend, my coaches, and the entire team that supports me every time I compete,” she said emotionally.

The podium was completed by Dominican Perqui Nicoll Francis Gutiérrez, who took the bronze medal after a total of 220 kg lifted (97 kg in the snatch and 123 kg in the clean and jerk), confirming the Dominican Republic’s steady growth in this sport.

Argentine María Gilda Jazmin Travesani (212 kg) and Brazilian Lais Rocha Grimaldi Rizzo (207 kg) took fourth and fifth place, respectively, in a final that brought together eight competitors from seven different countries.
