From this Wednesday to Sunday, the Official Channel of the Pan American Sports will bring to you the excitement of the U17 World Youth Weightlifting Championship live from Lima, Peru.

In total there will be 282 athletes from 52 countries who will cheer up this party.

Peru does not stop when it comes to organizing world-class sporting events on its lands. A great legacy after the 2019 Pan American Games, which the government and sports authorities fully understood and that today the entire Peruvian people appreciate and enjoy, having in their own country, the best athletes in the world competing in a series of events that have organized all these years.

For 2024, Peru has already confirmed 4 world championships: The World Youth Swimming Championships, at the modern Legado Aquatic Center; the U20 Athletics World Cup, from the VIDENA Athletic Stadium, the U17 Volleyball World Cup, from the Villa El Salvador Sports Center, built for Lima 2019, and the World Youth Weightlifting Championship that will take place this week in Sports Center 3 of the VIDENA Legacy headquarters.

This important planetary event will feature the participation of 282 athletes from 52 countries. From our continent, 16 nations will see the action: Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, the United States and Venezuela.

An event that the Peruvian authorities have already informed will be free for all lovers of weightlifting and sports in general, so a large audience is expected for these days of the event.
