From April 6 to 18, Santiago, Chile, will host the 2026 Pan American Junior Field Hockey Cup, an event that awards 7 spots (3 for men and 4 for women) for the upcoming 2027 FIH Junior World Cup.

The Claudia Schüler Training and Competition Center at Santiago’s National Stadium Park will once again host a qualifying competition for a Field Hockey World Championship.

Just a few weeks ago, the venue hosted the FIH World Cup Qualifiers Santiago 2026, where Chile claimed the title after defeating Australia in the final, and next Monday, it will be the juniors’ turn.

The 2026 Pan American Junior Field Hockey Cup (U-21) will be held in Santiago, Chile, from April 6 to 18, with Argentina, the United States, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, and Venezuela participating.

It is worth noting that this international tournament will award spots for the upcoming Junior World Cup to be held in 2027. In the men’s division, the top three teams in the championship will qualify, while the women’s division will have four spots up for grabs.

In the women’s competition, Argentina, the United States, Uruguay, Canada, Mexico, and Chile will play a round-robin format, with the top four advancing to the semifinals and securing a spot in the World Cup.

In the men’s competition, meanwhile, Argentina, Chile, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Venezuela will compete for the three direct spots in the World Championship.

This exciting qualifying tournament will be broadcast live on the Panam Sports Channel for the Americas and the entire world.
