At the headquarters of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee, the Women in Sports Commission, led by Sensei Katiuska Santaella—who also serves as the COV’s secretary general—celebrated Women’s Day with the institution’s staff, women representatives from various sports federations, and guests. María Soto, president, and Zobeira Hernández, treasurer of the VOC, also supported the traditional celebration.
“We celebrated this special day by honoring mothers on their day, together with the Olympic family and the women who work at this institution, where we enjoyed a pleasant time,” said Santaella.
During the gathering, gifts were also presented to mothers on their day, along with raffles, in a festive atmosphere to honor those women who dedicate their lives to raising good men and women.
The Women in Sports Commission not only celebrates women in sports but also includes men with the celebration of Father’s Day and works tirelessly for gender equality.
