Therefore, as of today, Asunci\u00f3n and Rio-Niter\u00f3i enter the race to host the most important multi-sport event of the continent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe are very happy and proud that important cities of our continent are candidates to host the 2031 Pan American Games,\u201d said Panam Sports president Neven Ilic. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mexico City, May 1, 2025 &#8211;<\/strong> The race to host the XXI Pan American Games in 2031 has officially begun. Both the Olympic Committee of Paraguay and the Olympic Committee of Brazil fulfilled in due time and form the requirements of Panam Sports. The respective bid dossiers and other requirements for both applicants were received at the office of the continental organization.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, Panam Sports has accepted Asunci\u00f3n and Rio-Niter\u00f3i as Candidate Cities to host the XXI Pan American Games in 2031.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very happy and proud that important cities of our continent are officially candidates to host the 2031 Pan American Games. Not only do they meet the requirements to be a host city, but there is also clear evidence of passion and motivation from their authorities, which are crucial for processes of this kind. I congratulate the Olympic Committees of Paraguay and Brazil and wish them the best of success,\u201d said Panam Sports President Neven Ilic.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that in the coming days, an Evaluation Commission for the 2031 Pan American Games will be formed.
