It is the award with the most nominees at the 2025 Panam Sports Awards. A total of 11 athletes will compete for this award, which represents true recognition of an admirable performance at the Junior Pan American Games. They may not have broken any records at this continental event, but their medals and performances were worthy of applause, as they made each of their countries, and the entire continent, proud. Meet the nominees for the Sports Achievement Award.

On December 2, when voting began for the 2025 Panam Sports Awards, many media outlets assessed the athletes’ nominations for these renowned international awards.

One of the most striking categories due to the large number of nominees is the Sports Achievement Award, where athletes from Mexico, Cuba, Paraguay, Colombia, Nicaragua, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, Haiti, and Jamaica were chosen as candidates to win this award.

Among them, we can see memorable moments from the Games, such as Nicole Martínez’s first medal of the event, Yisnoly López of Cuba’s surprising performance in canoeing with three gold medals, and the historic achievement of Joysi Tinoco of Nicaragua, who became the first athlete from her country to win a medal at the Pan American Games.

Behind every medal or achievement there is a whole story of effort and sacrifice, which leads these athletes to become true role models for society.

Here we show you all the nominees for this important award for Sporting Achievement at the 2025 Panam Sports Junior Awards.
