More than 1,700 athletes from 11 countries will compete in this sports celebration in Colombia.

VALLEDUPAR, COLOMBIA (June 20, 2022) — The Valledupar 2022 Bolivarian Games officially begin on June 24 and will feature athletes from 11 countries, including Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela.

More than 1,700 athletes will battle for medals in 44 disciplines: Archery, Athletics, Aquatics (Artistic Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Swimming, Water Polo), Badminton, Baseball, Basketball (5×5 and 3×3), Bowling, Boxing, Canoeing, Cycling (BMX, Mountain Bike, Road, Track), Equestrian, Fencing, Football, Futsal, Gymnastics (Artistic, Rhythmic, Trampoline), Golf, Handball, Judo, Karate, Rowing, Rugby 7, Softball, Squash, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Tennis, Triathlon, Sailing, Skating (Figure and Speed), Volleyball (Beach and Indoor), Water Skiing, Weightlifting and Wrestling,

These Games will take place in Valledupar and four other sub-sites, including Bogota, Cundinamarca, Cali and Chimichagua.

“The truth is that we have been preparing with great enthusiasm to host the Bolivarian Games in Valledupar, with the limitations of the moment that the world is experiencing due to the pandemic and the difficulties that a fairly strong winter wave has currently generated for us in Colombia. However, we have been overcoming all of this and we are almost ready and we are excited to receive all the delegations in order to guarantee excellent Games for the young athletes at these Bolivarian Games,” said ODEBO President Baltazar Medina.

The Panam Sports Chanel will broadcast the Bolivarian Games throughout the world with eight live signals available on the mobile application and website, adding more regional Games to its wide range of sporting events on its programming grid.
