The countries that will compete for the podium in trampoline gymnastics at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games are now determined following the 2023 Pan American Trampoline Gymnastics Championship held in Monterrey, Mexico.

A total of eight countries will compete for medals in trampoline gymnastics at the continent’s most important multisport event taking place this October in the Chilean capital of Santiago.

The 2023 Pan American Trampoline Gymnastics Championship was held from May 12-14 in Monterrey, Mexico, with all of the action streamed live on the Panam Sports Channel. Not only were the athletes competing for the continental title, but also a chance to qualify their countries to the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

While athletes competed in several events in Monterrey, only the men’s and women’s individual and synchronized trampoline events offered qualification to Santiago 2023 this October.

In the men’s individual competition, Angel Hernandez of Colombia took the gold medal ahead of Lima 2019 champion Jeremy Chartier of Canada and Cali 2021 Junior Pan Am Games champion Rayan Dutra of Brazil, with Dutra already securing his personal spot at Santiago 2023 due to direct qualification from Cali 2021.

The women’s individual event was won by Brazil’s Camilla Lopes, followed by Jessica Stevens of the U.S. and Sophiane Methot of Canada, with each athlete earning their country a spot at Santiago 2023. The Cali 2021 champion Mariola Garcia from Mexico had already earned direct qualification from her victory at the Junior Pan American Games.

In the synchronized events, the Canadian pair of Keegan Soehn and Nathan Shuh took home the gold in Monterrey, followed by Brazil’s Lucas Tobias and Gabriel Soares in second place and Argentina’s Federico Cury and Ralph Stotz earning the bronze.

On the women’s side, the duo from the United States Nicole Ashinger and Cheyenne Webster topped the podium at the continental championship, while Brazil’s sibling duo of Camila Gomes and Alice Gomes won silver and Argentina’s Martina Quintana and Alma Figueredo won bronze.
