EXPERT CONNECTION: “MANAGING THE ENERGY EQUATION” WITH MARC QUOD AND KELLY DRAGER
The next edition of the “Expert Connection” series will be shown live on Tuesday, May 5 at 4pm ET on the Panam Sports Channel will focus on Nutrition and how to fuel your body for success.
Experts Marc Quod and Kelly Drager will join the program to share their advice and guidance to athletes, coaches and the entire Pan American Family.
The “Expert Connection” series returns to the Panam Sports Channel on Tuesday, May 5 with another exciting edition focusing on Nutrition for English-speakers.
Marc Quod, Applied Sport Scientist and Coach, and Kelly Drager, Lead Performance Dietician at the Canadian Sport Institute Calgary, are bringing their vast expertises to the program to have a conversation centered on “Managing the Energy Equation” and how to fuel your body to meet your fitness and training needs.
Marc Quod is a Physiologist who currently works with a World Tour cycling team but has been working in high-performance sport since 2003 in Australia. He has conducted research with elite cyclists, runners and team sport athletes in the areas of environmental physiology, training load, recovery and nutrition. As a coach, Marc has spent the last ten years helping professional cyclists prepare for World Championships, Olympic Games, and the Tour de France.
Before becoming a Lead Performance Dietitian, Kelly Drager has worked in sport for more than 20 years and 10 Canadian national sport organizations. She has multiple Bachelor degrees in the areas of Physical Education and Nutrition as well as a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. Kelly utilizes this expertise in her current work with Wrestling Canada Lutte, Skate Canada, Climbing Escalada Canada and other elite performance programs in the country.
