This week’s Expert Connection brings two exceptional athletes who through effort and passion have managed to reach the highest level in the world: Venezuela’s Daniel Dhers of BMX Freestyle and Brazil’s Arthur Mariano Nory of Artistic Gymnastics.

How they achieved success, their life during quarantine and their keys to take advantage of their image as an outstanding athlete on social networks and in regards to sponsors will be just a few of the topics they cover together live of this Thursday at 5pm (Miami/Caracas) and 6pm (Rio de Janeiro), only on the Panam Sports Channel.

Continuing with our main objective of guiding and helping athletes, coaches and the entire Pan-American family in the midst of this pandemic, Panam Sports is proud to welcome two more great athletes from the continent to the Expert Connection series in order to share their experience as successful athletes on the world’s biggest stages in their respective disciplines. It is also of utmost importance to understand how they are living through these difficult moments with the Coronavirus and that they can advise our athletes from the Americas in different aspects, including sport, commercial and marketing success.

Arthur Mariano Nory is our first guest. A 27-year-old Brazilian gymnast who became the current Horizontal Bar World Champion in Stuttgart, Germany and a bronze medalist in the Floor Exercise at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. He was also a Team Champion and double silver medalist in the All-Around and the Horizontal Bar at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. Arthur is one of the most popular Olympic athletes in Brazil with more than 2 million followers on social media.

Another World Champion will accompany him this Thursday. He is none other than Daniel Dhers, a 35-year-old Venezuelan athlete, a professional BMX Freestyle cyclist with a long history of sporting excellence. He is the UCI World Champion, a five-time X Games Champion and at his first Pan Am Games of Lima 2019, he earned the gold medal after a spectacular performance. In addition to sports, Daniel Dhers is an entrepreneur, owning a BMX and Skateboarding Sports Complex in North Carolina, United States.

They both dream of reaching the podium at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Their minds and physical fitness were prepared for the Games in July of this year like everyone else, but after the date change due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they had to adapt their training and begin to live a new reality both in Brazil for Arthur and in the United States, for Daniel.

Training at home, without competition and with the uncertainty of not knowing how long these conditions will continue, they fight daily without losing their way or the motivation to be able to reach their Olympic events in 2021 in the best way possible.

For the first time, these two great ambassadors of Pan American sport will be together. An event not only for Brazilians and Venezuelans, but for all sport lovers who want to meet these two world-renown athletes of Artistic Gymnastics and BMX Freestyle.
