GLORIA, OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF THE LIMA 2019 GAMES
The commercial agreement will benefit Peru as it stages the continent’s largest multisport event.
Between March and August 2019, the Lima 2019 logo will be seen on the labels of the blue and red cans of Gloria Evaporated Milk in the 170 and 400-gram sizes.
In an unprecedented event, Peru will host the greatest multisport festival of the Americas – the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games. With 135 days until the Opening Ceremony of the Games, Gloria was recognized as an Official Sponsor of Lima 2019.
Thanks to the commercial agreement signed on March 12, Gloria — a leader in dairy products in Peru and abroad — will be the “Official Sponsor of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games” in the Gold category.
The agreement was signed by Lima 2019 President, Carlos Neuhaus Tudela and Gloria Executive Director, Claudio Rodriguez, with the presence of Gloria Commercial Director, Jorge Namisato and Lima 2019 Communications, Commercial and Marketing Manager, Juan Antonio Silva.
“All this effort we do for the athletes, because in Lima, Let’s All Play. Gloria is the first national company that is joining the effort to organize this multisport festival of the Americas. We are working very hard and, for this reason, we have already begun to deliver sports venues such as the Baseball Diamond,” Lima 2019 President, Carlos Neuhaus said during the ceremony.
“On Wednesday we will do the same by delivering the stadium of the National University of San Marcos to the U-17 National football team. In addition, on Saturday we will do a stress test of the Pan American and Parapan American Village to inspect the facilities,” he added.
Communications, Commercial and Marketing Manager of Lima 2019, Juan Antonio Silva, confirmed that the agreement makes Gloria the “Official Milk of the Pan American Games” and will have exclusive rights in the Dairy Products category, including Milk, drinks with 54% milk and granulated milk-based foods during the staging of the Pan American and Parapan American Games.
Between March and August 2019, the Lima 2019 logo will also be seen on the labels of the blue and red cans of Gloria Evaporated Milk in the 170 and 400-gram sizes. This will ensure that the Lima 2019 brand reaches more than 7.5 million Peruvian families.
As part of this agreement, the dairy products containing the labels with the Lima 2019 logo will be on sale. In addition, the athletes who will arrive from all over the Americas to compete at the Lima 2019 Games will receive Gloria dairy products as part of their diet.
In addition, Gloria will have the rights to produce, perform, disseminate and record testimonial videos of Peruvian athletes who will participate in the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan Am Games.
In the signing of the agreement, the top Basque Pelota athletes from Peru, including Fronton star Kevin Martinez — the 2017 and 2018 Pan American Champion — and Mia Rodríguez and Nathali Paredes, Pan American Champion in 2018 and Bronze Medalists at the Cochabamba 2018 South American Games.
To commemorate this historic occasion, Gloria presented a new product: PRO, a protein shake tailored to people who practice sport and need milk protein to help them recover and develop muscle mass.
