The second chapter of 2023 features an exclusive interview with the four-time Olympic Champion and five-time Pan American Champion Mijain Lopez, who after a year off is returning to high-performance competition at none other than the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
His dream is to achieve his sixth consecutive title at the Pan Am Games American while also starting his road to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, an event that will now mark the end of his incredibly successful sports career.
The show will also take a look back at Lima 2019 and the exciting women’s triple jump competition where Olympic and World champion Yulimar Rojas of Venezuela won the gold medal.
Another Chilean athletes will reveal iconic places in Santiago this week, as speed skater Christopher Verdugo shows us one of the historical and bohemian locations of the Chilean capital known as Barrio Lastarria.
In the ‘Did You Know?’ segment, we remember the best basketball player in history, Michael Jordan, who led Team USA at the 1983 Pan American Games. Jordan and his teammates gave a masterclass in Venezuela on their way to winning the gold medal.
Our incredible correspondents also return for our second episode. Akett Sabbagh presents an interview with the young athlete Fiordaliza Cofil from the Dominican Republic to learn more about the world champion from Eugene 2022 in the mixed relay event who is now preparing for Santiago 2023.
Then German Jaspe from Caracas introduces us to the Pan American Karate Champion and Olympian from Venezuela, Andres Madera, who will teach us all about his sport.
In addition, Juan Miguel Villaverde provides a report about the Pan American Road Cycling Championships that were held in Panama.
