ALISON DOS SANTOS, MELISSA JEFFERSON AND SYDNEY MCLAUGHLIN WERE THE KINGS OF THE LAST DAY OF THE GRAND SLAM TRACK.

The three athletes managed to win their second consecutive race of the event, which led them to become Slam Champions and winners of the US$100,000 prize money.

The Organization’s assessment was extremely positive. “It was fantastic, it was great. The athletes were happy. It couldn’t have been better,” said Grand Slam Track CEO Michael Johnson.

Last day of competition of the first Grand Slam Track in history. Because it was Sunday, the organization scheduled the day earlier, which meant that the temperature exceeded 30 degrees in the shade.

However, the heat did not affect the athletes who gave their all to win one of the 8 remaining prizes of US$100,000 for the champions of each category.

Those who shone the most were those who won again in their events, achieving a total of 24 points in both days. Such was the case of Alison Dos Santos, who had no problem to win the 400 meters flat with a time of 45.52 seconds; Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone who won the same distance with 50.32; and Melissa Jefferson who won the 200mts flat with 23.46 seconds.
