The workshops are being held on Mondays in January 2026 (12th, 19th, and 26th) in webinar format via the Zoom platform. Each session will begin at 10:00 a.m. (Miami time) and will last approximately one hour. The invitation is open to any member of the NOCs, as well as national federations and other interested parties.

Last Monday, this important workshop organized by Panam Sports was attended by a large number of participants. We hope this success will be repeated for the second session scheduled for next Monday, January 19.

“In the first session, which dealt with the important role of Secretaries General in National Olympic Committees, we had more than 150 people participating. The session analyzed the transcendental function of this position, with in-depth analysis, recommendations, and experiences that will undoubtedly be a contribution to our member countries. For this Monday, we have prepared a new session, this time with the Treasurers. We invite our entire community to join these interesting workshops so that together we can continue learning and developing in pursuit of continental sports,” said Jimena Saldaña, Secretary General of Panam Sports.

Structure and International Collaboration

A distinctive feature of this educational series is the high-level collaboration. Each workshop will feature the active participation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which will contribute its global vision of sports leadership.

The meetings will also serve as a platform for the exchange of best practices through the participation of various National Olympic Committees that are members of Panam Sports. In each session, different NOCs will share their specific working models to enrich mutual learning among countries in the region.

Details of the Second Workshop (January 19)

The second session will focus specifically on the role of the treasurer. In addition to the IOC’s presentation on NOC leadership, the working models of three countries with different operational structures will be presented:

  • Barbados.
  • Brazil.
  • Chile.

The agenda for the day includes a welcome address by Panam Sports, the IOC presentation, 10-minute presentations by each guest NOC, and a final question and answer session.
