“Life and its bigbanes. You will bring to June every spring, puntito. In your waiting, and always, we will give the best of us so that the Chile we live in will be fairer and happier. We love you”.

With this message accompanied by a photo of an ultrasound, the President of the Republic of Chile, Gabriel Boric, surprised everyone on his social networks.

The Chilean president informed that he would be a father for the first time with his partner, Paula Carrasco, selected by the Chilean Basketball Team.

A love that, according to several Chilean media, began in the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 with the basketball player.

However, they made their love public only in September 2024 when they danced cueca (traditional Chilean dance) to inaugurate the traditional Chilean “fondas”.

Paula Carrasco was born and raised in Valparaiso, a basketball player for the Sportiva Italiana club and a member of Team Chile, which participated in the last Pan American Games Santiago 2023.

The President of Panam Sports, Neven Ilic and all the Panamerican family, congratulate the President of the Republic of Chile and Paula for this excellent news and wish them the best of success in this new stage of their lives.
